I think it was portedmods who used to have a decent tutorial on theme creation aswell as mod conversion but unfortunately they closed up shop quite awhile back.

The only phpnuke theme related tutorial I know of right off hand would be: Customising PHP-Nuke themes Tutorial


If I remember correctly it shows "how to" using html files in a theme where as I , and most people, seem to try to keep all elements within a single theme.php. You really just have your header, main index, news, and blocks as areas you need to edit. The easiest way to learn is to start with a simple theme and start editing section by section until you get the look you're aiming for.

I used to do alot of porting and theme creation for phpnuke years ago but disappeared for some time and doesnt seem to have the same userbase it used to. I havent tested all of them. Theres definitely a few that Ive had issues with but for the most part they seem to work.

As far as phpnuke version go Id personally recommend 7.6 seems to be too many problems with anything higher. Ravenuke is also a good choice, they have a new version out aswell but I have only just started to test it.

I dont have a premodded version with the arcade mod installed although I had toyed with the idea of a fullymodded php-nuke.

What is it doing when it should submit?
Are you using a compatible game? I have a few on here that dont submit/start I just havent had a chance to go through and clean them out.
Have you uploaded all files keeping their directory structure?
